Chic But Yet Comfy Outfit Ideas To Wear To The Office Or At Home

After a year at home, and offices across the country have been closed during the Covid-19 lock down, a majority of companies are preparing to open up the doors for employees to return as vaccinations pick up. Wearing lounge clothes has become the new norm, but for some of you who are preparing to commute back to the office this may be the best time to start building up a solid wardrobe with stylish, yet cozy items that can be dressed up for work, and worn casually at home. Here are several outfit ideas to consider, that are both office-friendly, stylish, and are almost as comfortable as your pajamas. Similar items that I handpicked from the Liketoknow.it shopping app are featured in the post and I will receive a commission from any of the items you purchase.

1.Floral Midi Dress

While florals for spring may not be anything new, this year designers gave them a fun and fresh twist. This probably sounds crazy but opting for "tacky florals" in vibrant shades and bold motifs is a big hit for the new season. If you want to make a spunky fashion statement for the office without trying too hard, grab hold of a floral midi dress. Style it with a light-weight trench or a blazer. For shoes, go for kitten heel mules or pointed toe pumps for a more elevated touch.

Wide Leg Pants and Shirt Dress

If you are sitting at the desk in front of the computer screen or answering calls all day, the last thing you want to be wearing is uncomfortable office wear. But no need to worry there are countless options to choose from. Two of my favorite cozy items that are easy to style and can be dressed up for work are the wide leg trousers and the shirt dress. These on-trend pants can be styled in many ways.

To make them work-appropriate and fashion-forward, pair them with a printed blouse and stylish heels. Then finish things off with understated jewelry. If you are on a time crunch in the morning and you want to look stylish for work without the “EXTRA" work” consider a shirt dress. The shirt dress is chic and easy to style. For casual Fridays wear it with sneakers or ballet flats or layer it over the wide leg pants and top it off with ankle strap sandals.

Lightweight Knit Dress

Put aside the chunky cashmere or wool turtlenecks because as the weather starts to warm up, lightweight knits, such as ribbed cotton dresses are just as cozy and not nearly as suffocating.

Beyond being incredibly comfy, knit dresses look equally stylish with sandals, boots, sneakers, and heels. Dress them up for work with pointed toe pumps and a mini bag. For date night style it with some sexy strappy sandals and eye-catching statement earrings. Or go casual for a weekend at home with mule slides and a nice everyday necklace.
